OO scale modules

Cheshire Railway Modellers is not a conventional model railway club but a group of individuals all doing our own thing while sharing ideas and advice via our website and forum, so it is perhaps fitting that our club layouts should reflect this individuality. The modules do not create a sectional layout but a series of small layouts which can be assembled in virtually any order with the overall size depending upon how many individual members' contributions are present.

CL Junction is a very short scenic section attached to one of the fiddleyards.

JRM Industrial is the corner unit. It can be used as an inside or outside angle, the scenery being designed to be viewed from either side.

Park Hall Halt is my attempt at modelling a real place. The tiny station was on the Gobowen to Oswestry line and has been modelled with very little compression, that's how small it was! The layout can be used as a stand alone display or as part of the CRM OO scale modular layout.

Potter's Field is half of the passing loop for the CRM OO scale modular layout, the other half being Dead Centre owned by John Marsden. When assembled the pair of modules make a single scene about five feet long with the layout control area sharing the same baseboard to bring the length up to six feet.

Scrappwood represents the truncated end of a branchline and is sutable for DMU and push-pull workings. The module is used at the end of a layout, either alone as the reversing point for all trains or just beyond a non-scenic fiddleyard section where some trains may terminate before reaching Scrappwood. In minimum formation a modular layout could consist of just Scrappwood and CL Junction.

Whemper's Hollow is the smallest section of the CRM OO scale modular layout. The scene is inspired by Terry Pratchett's Discworld novels.
